This is a must try burger and chippee shop, The prices are very good too and location middle of Richmond's main street. Put it on the bucket list or weekly takeaway list. The burger had an insanely fresh bun, crispy crunchy mild spice chicken fillet with great sauce and lettuce etc . Just Do It, ive been back several times now.

Today was a good day! After a long hard day at work, the last thing I wanted to do was cook dinner. I was in the mood for a burger, and this was a spot that I had heard some good reports about, so off to Richmond we go! Now most times I come past Joe's, it is busy, and a bit of a queue in front of the counter (a great sign). Well tonight we happened to get there about 15 minutes before closing. There were still a couple of people waiting for food, but I managed to walk straight up to the counter. I ordered my dinner (2 Bacon, egg and cheese burgers, a scoop of chips and a piece of fish) and was kindly informed that the wait would be 10 minutes. The smells emitting from the kitchen piqued my taste buds, and 10 minutes later, when my number was called, I almost ran to collect the parcel of food! Once we got home we unpacked the burgers. They looked amazing, with all of the ingredients peeking out from between the buns. This was really nice to see, as often these days burgers are more bun than substance! Well not in this case as the photos shot. I picked up the burger and took my first bite, happy in the fact that I managed to get a good cross section of all ingredients in the first bite. This gave me a good indication of what was coming, and I was pretty stoked! The burger was cooked perfectly, the pattie obviously made in store and cooked with love and care. There was a good balance of cheese and egg with a touch of sweet tomato and delicious gerkhin. What of the bacon I hear you ask? Well this was the crowning glory of the burger. Bacon and egg burgers are my favourite, and I have reviewed a few in my babblings over the years, and this is the first time I have had REAL bacon in the burger. Not shoulder type 'Canadian' style bacon, or as my wife calls it "Ham", but actual smokey rasher bacon. I almost shed a tear, it was so good. Oh yes, and the fish and chips were good too! Crisp and fresh. All around a great experience and one I'll will be repeating in the future.

Really impressed with our order tonight. Generous portions, great tasting Gurnard, battered sausages were large and very tasty. Definitely recommend. Very tasty meal...

Definitely the best fish n chips in the region! Wide selections of fresh fish, really crispy. Very popular, can order through phone to avoid waiting.

Amazing. Delicious. Quick. Huge portions!! Tried the cheeseburger a jalapenos burger. And then half scoops of kumara and regular fries! What a wonderful job! And so affordable ♥️

Easily the best fish n chips in Nelson. Highly recommend any of their burgers, definitely the best burgers in Nelson and they don't charge ridiculous price's. Pretty much anything they cook is to perfection 👌

Got nothing but good things to say tried the double beef and cheese burger and my partner tried fish and chips by far the best I've hard quality of ingredients really shows highly recommended Also really fairly priced.
